About us

Women in Artificial Intelligence Leadership

The objective of WaiLD is to position not only women but also minorities in the world of artificial intelligence. Ada Byron Lovelace was the one who invented all the basics to create the computer systems we use every day. Even though today she is not the one used as a reference when we talk about the digital revolution. To this date women and minorities are very underrepresented in the IT community and again in AI.

With WaiLD, we will act to create a powerful network of women and minorities to position them in AI as they deserve, and above all to push the new generations to go down this path to make AI universal as a technology of the future but also as a guarantee for women and minorities to have as important a place as the non-minority men in this field.

WaiLD is also working on the increasingly worrying problem of bias. If the data used today is the data that will be transferred to AI systems, then the danger of existing inequalities in our society will only be transferred to a new AI system. Ethics in AI is therefore a requisite for our social progress, and the data we will be feeding the AI machines/systems must therefore be the reflection of a long-deserved society where women are paid the same as men, where they have access to positions hitherto reserved for men, where finally the data that the AI machine feeds on is free of all the biases that have hitherto only held back our society in its ‘social modernity’.

About me

Founder of the Women in artificial intelligence Leadership, I’m passionate about AI and see Ai as a fantastic tool to advance our society in many areas. My many years of experience in marketing technical products and IT services, international project management for technically demanding product and in higher education and research through my dissertation and teaching experience in recent years in the USA, England, Germany and France in the software, digital media and IT services sectors, have certainly driven me to create WaiLD. I strongly advocate for women to become visible in the age of AI, and especially have AI used to create a progressive society.
